I just finished reading this great book. This is one of my favorite series called I Survived. I enjoyed reading this book because the author uses great detail and amazing description that makes you feel like you were in the kids shoes. If you like historical fiction and learning about it I would recommend these books for you.
This book is about a kid named Oscar that lives on a farm with his mom and he has to take over his grandfathers job, his job was to take care of the farm. But his mom met a guy in Chicago and she wants to go live with him but Oscar does not want to because he has to care of the farm. But they end up moving to Chicago. When they got to Chicago Mr. Morrow showes them around in a cab but when they are driving they see a fire and some firefighters trying to put it out. Later they go to a hotel but Oscar wanted to explore Chicago. Suddenly he hears a loud BANG!! and he sees people running away from the fire he starts running but he gets lost and cant find Mr. Morrow after a while he finds him and his mom and they go up north to a lake and they cross the lake. They head to Mr.Morrows studio and stay there now they are all safe.
