  I read this book called Journal of a Teenage Genius. This book was about a boy named Zack who has a crush on this girl named Loretta. They go on a date and then they go back to Loretta's and Zack finds a time machine. He loves science so he was in heaven. This time machine was used for Loretta's mom to go back in time to see her sister. Her dad is from this time and he went back in time fell in love with her and then had Loretta. There was another "time machine". Zack was asked to fix it and by accident he turned a nob the wrong way and it worked. They were so happy that they let him go back in time in the first time machine. When he got in it he was supposed to go to aunt Maggie, but instead he went to last year. It was his birthday, so he had the dinner he missed last year. Then he came back and Loretta's grandpa left. He left him with a broken transmitter, that was written in Qerbik. Loretta taught Zack how to speak and she taught him I love you first. He didn't get it. He found out that Qerbik is an established planet that is just what Qerbik's call it. He will soon get to visit Qerbik.
