GreenGlass House is a book about a adopted boy named Milo. His foster parents own a inn with green glass windows. In the book it is almost Christmas. Around Christmas time there are usually no guests there. Suddenly one day many people show up, and they are all acting suspicious. Milo is very disappointed that he doesn't get to spend Christmas vacation with his family. One day he meets a little girl, and she wants to find out why all these people are here. They start to play a investigation game. In the game they make fake names and secret identity's. Once then realize this house use to be owned by a famous smuggler one of the guests steals another guests personal idem. Milo and the little girl find out all the guests are there for the same reason to find the smugglers hidden things he smuggled. Milo and the little girl find the stolen objects. In the end Milo's family except for Milo and the little girl almost dies because one of the guests takes out a gun and threatens to kill them. At this point the little girl says she is a ghost and is the famous smugglers daughter. They make a plan to get down to the first floor. Once they get down there the guest catches them and demands for them to give him the smugglers hidden things. Milo goes to the spot where it is hidden and realizes all it was was a game piece that the smuggler gave his daughter ( the ghost). Milo feels it is important for the ghost to have it because it is the last thing her father left her. She ends having to scare off the guest and then gets to keep the piece. This book is 376 pages.
