This book was about a girl named Ida who's best friend just moved away and Ida now has no one. She meets a new girl named Stacey and is afraid to become her friend. Jenna Drews, the mean girl likes Stacey. Stacey tells some lies so everyone will be her friend. Ida's class places a game and it is called fibber. Stacey says two real things and one fake. One of the real ones was my real name is not Stacey. She decides to write a note on the board asking Stacey what her name is not saying who it was from. Stacey wrote back Anastasia. Ida used the pen name Cordelia. They wrote back and forth and hid the notes in the stone behind the cow hedge. Ida found out Stacey was lying and they shared secrets. Stacey knew it was Ida, but Ida didn't know Stacey knew. Then Stacey's mom decided to move away and Ida said they should be best friends. Stacey got to stay and they became best friends. So after all Elizabeth was not Ida's last best friend.
