Journal of a teenage Genius is a book about a young boy that loves to play around with science and trying to make new inventions which never seem to work out good and are always flops. He turns his dog toodles in to a boy and back and which brings him and the dog closer because he never liked toodles because toodles would always get the teenage genius Zachary in to trouble by getting in to stuff that he shouldn't. He goes to the first day of school and gets distracted during science from falling in love with a girl scientist.The big problem is that every time he tries to talk to her he stutters and says things embarrassing and childish because he feels that he is to short for her.He tries to make a concoction to make himself taller while he asked her out through her weird mother. when she realizes he are shrinking they go fix it .Zachery goes to her house and unlocks some weird stuff about her family and finds out that she has a time machine.
