My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Volume 8

I, not too long ago, finished the book My Little Pony Friendship is Magic book by Hasbro. There are three stories to this book. Starting off with the first one, the Main 6 are at the wrestling match of the Mystery Mare, located in Canterlot. While Rarity is going to the bathroom, she finds her friend Cheerilee from Ponyville. Cheerilee explains that her sister sent her tickets to the match and that the Mystery Mare is actually her twin sister, Cherry Blossom. Cheerilee also explains that she and her sister haven't talked in ages and has no idea how to approach her. Rarity then comes up with an idea to have Cheerilee, Cherry Blossom, herself, and her friends to have tea together. Later, they have tea before Cheerilee enters the room. The two sisters start and argument in which Cheerilee storms out of the building. While Cherry Blossom is behind her trying to apologize for the words said, she trips on a ledge and injures her leg.
At the hospital, Cherry finds out that she had sprained her leg and is unable to participate in the wrestling championship in three days. Cherry pleads with Cheerilee for her to take place as the Mystery Mare in order to keep her title. Cheerilee runs out of the hospital room and starts to cry in the hallway. Rarity comforts Cheerilee and explains that she should wrestle for her sister. Cheerilee agrees and they head off to the gym. Cherry, Rarity, and Cloverleaf accompany her as she is learning the basics. Cheerilee and her training partner, Sneaky Pete, practice taking each other down. Rarity carries Cheerilee home while Cheerilee explains the differences between her and Cherry.
The next day, they all go to the gym without Cloverleaf and go over even more moves. During this, they are interrupted by "Iron Hock" who confronts Cheerilee about lacking her usual confidence. After the Iron Hock leaves, Cheerilee starts to freak out and worries that she may be in trouble. Time skips to the night before the match and Cheerilee starts to regret her choice of filling in for her sister. She is then bombarded by the Mystery Mare's fans who are excited to see her in the match. Rarity stands in the crowd of fillies and whispers words of encouragement. Cheerilee runs off to do her match, filled with confidence.

Isle of the Lost:Lindsay Flanders

The Isle of the Lost was about four of the evilest Disney villain's kids. Maleficent's daughter was Mal, the Evil Queen's daughter was Evie, Jafar's son was Jay, and Cruella Deville's son was Carlos. Now they used to live in Auradon, but King Beast kicked them out onto an island called the Isle of the Lost. All Mal ever wanted was to live up to her mother's expectations. Cruella was out of town so Carlos threw a party and with Evie they went up to his club house and used a satellite to get T.V. channels  from Auradon since they only get the Prince Ben channel that teaches them good deeds. HWen they activated the machine a hole burned through the protective dome which keeps them locked in. And that let some magic in. Maleficent's only friend Diablo the raven returned and told her the Dragon's Eye, the most evil piece of magic ever was still out there, Maleficent immediately told Mal to go and find it. After searching with her friends Mal found a map which led themto the Forbidden Fortress, Maleficent's old home. The gang went on a quest and went through many obstacles to get to the Dragon's Eye. Mal touched the Dragon's Eye and was supposed to be asleep for one thousand years, but because she was Maleficent's daughter she was immune to it.  It immediately vanished into Maleficent's hands, but Diablo got all the credit. The Isle of the L has 311 pages.

Liar Liar- Austin Kilduff

I just finished reading Liar Liar by Gary Paulsen. This book has 120 pages. This book was about a boy who would lie about everything to get his way or what he wants. His name is Kevin but people called him Kev for short. And he noticed that he was suddenly in love with this girl named Tina. So he tried to start hanging around her but since he had like no classes  with her he barley even saw her. So he started going to every class he had and tell them that he had something he was doing for the school newspaper " of coarse he was lying" and asked them for a hall pass. Then he started to try to get near her but that didn't work because she still had all her classes. Then he realized that he has to start telling the truth. So as he started telling the truth he finally noticed that the truth lets you free. But he never got to show Tina what a great guy he is. I give this book 10 out of 10 because it was funny and it showed that is not the thing to lie.

               Ella Enchanted                               I have just finished reading Ella Enchanted. Ella Enchanted is about a girl named Ella who has to listen to everything anyone says to her and who's father frequently leaves on business. And married a women who is very nice to Ella in the beginning. Her two stepsisters are rude to her in the beginning. When the father is on business he dies and Ella is left with her stepmother and stepsisters. Right away they start to boss her around and she has to listen. eventually she goes on a adventure to break her curse. On her journey she meets magical creatures that lead her to the fairy that put a curse on her.

Goosebumps Movie Novel 135pg

Goosebumps Movie Novel is about a boy named Zach and he just moved from the big city of New York to a little town called Maryland . He was not happy about it because he has no friends there and it was in the middle of nowhere. When he got there he met a girl named Hannah and her dad Mr.Shivers. Zach's mom is the vice principal at his new school and first person he met was a boy named Champ.Then one night when Zach stayed up late to finish his homework and then from next door it sounded like a girl screaming. Suddenly he jumped out of his bed and ran down stairs and told his mom what he heard they both raced out of the house.Then Zach banged on the door and Mr.Shivers answers the door like nothing was wrong. So Zach got very suspicious and he decided to sneak into Mr.Shivers and save Hannah. He calls his friend champ who thinks he is going to a dance with girls but is actually going to help Zach. When they get there they go though the basement  door and it was dark so finally he got upstairs and by accident he opened one of  Mr.Shivers books. Then a monster came out of it and started breaking everything. So they had to chase it though the whole town. So it turns that Hannah dad is the R.L Stine the famous writer. Now Hannah and Mr.Shivers have to get all the monsters back in the book.

The Whizz Pop Chocolate Shop 

The whizz pop chocolate shop starts off by two twins named Oz and Lily and there family moving to a new house that they and there family inherited by there great uncles. They find a chocolate shop down stairs were there uncles made magic chocolate. Soon after lily finds a talking cat and rat that tell both the kids evil villains are searching for there great uncles secret recipe. Dog Days- Austin Kilduff

I just finished reading Diary of a wimpy kid Dog Days by Jeff Kinney. This book has 217 pages. This book started out with these two best friends Greg and Rowley. They were at a country club because Rowley  is part of a country club. But when they were at the country club they ordered so many smoothies that it was 83 dollars. So they were trying to figure out a way to earn money. They came up with the idea to mow laws. But since Greg and Rowley had no experience with mowing lawns that did not work out. Then Greg prayed that Mr. Jefferson would forget that he owes him money and that he will beat a level in this game. Now it was Greg's Birthday and his mom asked him to take his time with the cards and say thank you to the people who gave him the card. He u sally just opens the envelope and shakes the card for money. Then when he got all his money his mom took it to pay back Mr.Jefferson. Then from his mom and dad he got a phone that only calls home and 911. Then at the end Rowley smacked Greg's hand because he scared him. I give this book 8 out of 10 because it was funny and made me burst out with lafter.

Diary of a wimpy kid- Austin Kilduff

I just finished reading Diary of a wimpy kid Rodrick Rules by Jeff Kinney. This book has 217 pages. This book started with a boy named Greg was walking and his mean old brother Rodrick  punched him. Then after one of the school day Rodrick picked him and his friend Rowley in his van. And since there was no seats in the back of the van Greg and Rowley were flying around. Then when Greg was sleeping over Rowley's house they made there own language. But Rowley's Dad found out what Greg said and made Greg go home. Then Greg's little brother Manny broke his game console. And to say sorry he made him a ball of tin foil that had sharp thing sticking out of it. And when Greg put it on his bed Rowley went to sit on the bed and he sat on it. Then Greg's mom had to take it out. Then Greg noticed  that Rowley had a diary. So he bought the same diary from the store and used the key too open Rowley's diary and try  to see if he had anything about him but he didn't. And then at the end Rodrick had a project. So he did it on do plants sneeze. I give this book a 10 out of 10 because it was hilarious and entertaining.

Kickoff- Austin Kilduff

I just finished reading Kickoff by Tiki and Ronde Barber. This book has 176 pages. The book started out with two brothers that are best friends. They would do everything together. There were also football superstars on there team. It was almost time to start there first year at middle school as seventh graders. The night before they got the paper that tells you all your classes. And they had no classes together. They were so mad but there mom said they need to start getting used to being with each other all the time. On the first day of school it was football tryouts. There middle school football team name was the Eagles. So after there long first day of school was over they went to football tryouts. Then they went into the locker room to get ready. After they got ready they ran out and started the tryouts. They did drills, sprints, laps, and scrimmages. Then next week the paper came out to see what position you were and what string you were. Tiki and Ronde were scared to see what they got. But they went up to the board to see that they got third string witch is the worst string you can get. They were so mad that they got third string. They went home and told there mom and she said well you both will get your chance to shine I know you will. There first game was today on Saturday. So the got suited up for the game. Tiki and Ronde sat on the bench for the whole game. And they sat on the bench for the next three games to. But for the championship there kick return and there running back got hurt and Ronde and Tiki went in. And on the first kickoff return Ronde ran it all the way for a touchdown. Then on there next drive Tiki scored a touchdown and the eagles won 14-0. I give this book 9 out of 10 because it was inspiring to never give up.  

Isle of the Lost: Janelle Mixner

       The book I read is called the Isle of the Lost. This is about the Disney villains being out in a dome with no magic. The four main characters are Mal (daughter of Maleficent), Evie (daughter of the Evil Queen), Carlos (son of Cruella de Ville), and Jay (son of Jafar). Every villain thknks there is no magic until at Carlos's party, he tries out his invention. It cuts a hole in the dome! Once this happened, Maleficent's bird friend, Diablo, comes back to her and says that her Dragon Eye staff has been unfrozen. Maleficent wants Mal to go retrieve it for her. Maleficent always says that Mal is a disappointment so Mal thinks that if she gets the staff, her mother won't think of her as a disappointment. Mal gets Evie, Carlos, and Jay to help her find it. Once they get into the room where the staff is, Mal didn't want Evie to touch it because she would fall asleep for one-thousand years. So instead, Mal touched it. She is immune to the sleep spell because she is part dragon. After she touches it, it disappears. When Mal returns home, she sees that the Dragon Eye staff is in her mothers hands. She got the staff because of Diablo because Diablo followed them. Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Cruella de Ville, and Jafar are all disappointed. Meanwhile, down at Auradon, prince Ben is will be becoming King soon. Before he becomes King, he runs off to find his parents because he looked up at the Isle of the Lost and wonders. There are probably kids my age up there. How do they survive? How does it feel being trapped in a dome with no magic at all?

                  In "Heaven is for Real" there are 163 pages, the authors name is Todd Burpo. So the story is about a boy named Colton who went to heaven and met God  and he tells his father what he sees and his father ask him a lot of questions about heaven. Colton sees people that are old and living and doesn't recognize them because everybody in heaven is young in very happy and loyal.

        I think this is a good book because it is very factual about what it's gonna be in the after life and there are bumps in the road but the Burpo's family knows how  to handle the things.
