The Invention of Hugo Cabret
By: Andzelika Cetera
After Hugo Cabrets father dies during work in a fire, he is told to live with his uncle who operates the clocks in Paris. When his uncle somehow disappears, he operates the clocks himself so he doesn't have to be taken to an orphanage. His main goal is to fix the automaton his father never fixed. When he met Isabella, goddaughter to an old man named George Meliez, he notices the key for the automaton around her neck. He takes takes the key and when he puts the key inside, it paints a painting, at the end, the initials says George Meliez. Hugo figures out why it has his name, not his fathers. (George used to be a magician. He used the automaton in his in his acts. When movies were invented, he started making them, but when he got forced to stop making movies he decided not to speak about his past.)
