The Mysterious Benedict Society 

I have just finished reading The Mysterious Benedict Society. This story is about a orphan boy named Reynard  he is teased and is mostly alone at his orphanage, but he is friends with his teacher Miss. Perumal. One day he sees a ad in the paper that says " ARE YOU A GIFTED CHILD LOOKING FOR SPECIAL OPPORTUNITIES?" He kept on reading and it said you had to take a series of tests to see if he would qualify in the end he decides to take the tests. Reynard passed the first test, and no one else passed in his group. He takes the next test and again he passed. In the end Reynard passed all the tests. When he was done with the tests he went to a special waiting room and while he was there he met other who passed they are Kate, Sticky, and Constance who was very short. After all the tests they met a man named Mr. Benedict who planned this whole thing. He says they have to go on a special mission to his evil brothers school to see why all these weird thing are happening there. Once they get there they learn they have to be executives to have the special privileges ( that is the weird thing happening). Finally after getting good grades on every weird test Sticky and Reynard become executives. Mr. Benedict's evil brother calls them down to his office to get there special privileges. Once they get there they realize the special privileges are getting into a machine that relives all your worry's. The only thing that was bad about it was when ever you use it it gets messages to broadcast on a t.v and even into minds. One day they all decide to finally complete there mission and destroy the whisperer. They all make a plan to have Reynard and Sticky go to a session, and have Kate grumpy Constance sneak in. Once the two boys were in the girls needed to sneak in, but while the were doing that they got caught by two executives. They had to fight the executives up a steep hill then while trying to climb a latter void them. Eventually the girls got there and they needed to shut down the machine. Constance got in. The trick to helping to shut it down is resisting. So thats exactly what Constance did, And it helped confuse the machine just as Constance was getting out of the machine Mr. Benedict came into the room and started helping. In the end they all got out in time, but Mr. Benedict's evil brother got away. This book is 485 pages.
