I just finished read in g Star Girl and it's about being different. So there are two friends at Mica High School named Kevin and Leo that are best friends who think she is different in how she acts and dresses. That is why everyone in the tenth grade is talking about her. But, she doesn't care what people think of her. Every day at lunch she takes her ukulele and plays happy birthday to random people. In a matter of time everyone started to warm up to Star Girl. She even becomes a cheerleader for Mica High. Kevin and Leo started a show called "Hot Seat"and Kevin wants to interview her. Leo does not want to. That all changes when she goes to a funeral she wasn't invited to, and even injured a basket ball player on the opposite team from getting to excited. Star Girl shows interest in Leo when she gives him a Valentine's day gift. The show ends up never airing. But she still believed in herself and didn't let anything get in her way. Leo and her go on a date she teaches him that everyone deserves happiness. People finds out and he tells her to be normal. So, she revels her real name which is Susan. He asked her to go to the Ocotillo Ball. She says no. After that dance no one every sees her again.186pages Jerry Spinelli
