The Isle of the Lost By: Seasia Kong

I just finished the book " the Isle of the Lost" By, Melissa De La Cruz. The protagonist was the daughter of Maleficent. Her name is Mal and she was a also the antagonist. It all started when all the villains lived in a dome called the Isle of the Lost. Maleficent had a daughter named Mal and she wasn't invited to the evil queens daughters party. Evie was the daughter of the evil queen. Maledficent didn't like how they weren't invited to the party, even though she despised parties. So Maleficent made the evil queen and her daughter to live in a castle for ten years with no contacts of people and never to leave the castle until ten years has passed. Mal's best friend jay went to school called Hell Hall. Then there was a boy named Carlos son of Cruella De Vil. Carlos is a very smart boy, but he is a coward. Evie was home schooled for ten years and now this is the year she goes to an actual school. The year she turns sixteen. Mal was a very clever, but she was also the nastiest of all villains [besides her mom.] Everyone was scared of Mal and everyone knew not to come close to her. Mal had an assignment to do for school. She had to make an evil scheme, so people knew her name. She thought of a plan to make a welcoming party for Evie at Carlos's house. Mal told Carlos there will be a party at his house and he knew not to disagree with Mal because she is scary. Mal invited everyone from school especially Evie, she was the main attraction and the reason Mal made the party. Mal saw Evie come from the door and asked if she wanted to play a game called seven minutes in heaven. She said yes and put her in a closet and locked her in Cruella De Vills special closet full of her favorite fur coats. Carlos went insane and started to get her before she got caught in Cruella's traps. Carlos took her out and Mal was upset and her plan didn't go as well as she thought it would be. She had to make another plan, a plan that would regret what she had done. Maleficent's best friend unfroze and told her that her saw her scepter. The legend is that if anyone touches the scepter they will sleep for a thousand years. Maleficent told her daughter to find her scepter. Mal did as she was told and looked for it with her group Carlos, Evie, and Jay. She wanted Evie to touch the scepter as her evil plan. They had to go through riddles and mazes and goblins. The found the scepter and Mal wanted Evie to touch it but something didn't fell right. To save Evie Mal touched the scepter instead and saved her. Which is not villainy of her. Mal went down and she was unconscious. She was dreaming about her mom and how she told her the story about how she cursed Aurora. Mal didn't believe the story until she saw her mom with her horns and her scepter. All she can inside of her mom was a girl who was heartbroken and wanted an invitation. Mal also had a dream about this boy. A boy that was dressed nicely and with brown eyes and brown hair. He was prince Ben, soon to be King Ben son of Beauty and the beast. Mal woke up stunned and scared. She didn't want a boy in her way. But she was feeling butterflies in her stomach. She woke up and the scepter was gone. Evie, Jay, Carlos and herself just went home. Mal went home and told her mom the whole story about the scepter and the journey. Her mom said that she was as weak as her father and a disappointment to her. Mal was upset. Evie went home and her mom told her she looked like a rat. Evie the daughter of the evil queen is supposed to look the fairest of them all, but not this time. Her mom told her she was a disappointment. Carlos's mom said he was a disappointment, Jay was a disappointment to his dad as well. They all left their house and took spray cans and sprayed the whole city, knocking over bins and taking candy from a baby. They didn't care anymore of what their parents say. They continued with their everyday and stayed bad.
