The Hunger Games by Joshua DelFarno

   The Hunger Games is the best book I have ever read. It is about a girl named Katniss Everdeen. She goes to a thing called the Reaping. The Reaping is when someone picks from a clear ball a boy and a girls name. The ladies always go first. Effie ( the laddie that picks for district 12) calls Katniss's  little sister Primross Everdeen. Katniss volunteers to take Prim's place. Effie picks the boys name. Peeta Milark. They go to the capital to practice for the hunger games. She meets her stylist  Cinna. Cinna makes a dress for her that makes her look like she is on fire. They start to practice and Katniss sees Rue, a girl from district 11 ( there are 12 districts). Peeta says he is in love with Katniss. She gets made and freaks out on Peeta. The games begin and Katniss gets a backpack then runs of. She run into another tribute and they both run of. She checks what is in the bag. She has a sleeping bag, water jug that isn't full ( they couldn't fill it ? ), glasses to see in the dark, and a rope. She sleeps in a tree. She sees a tribute started a fire. She hears a scream. Then sees Peeta with carereers( carereers are kids who train for the hunger games then volunteer for the hunger games at 18, the last year they have to put they're name in for the hunger games) and hears they are going to betray him soon. Katniss climbs a tree trying to get away from the carereers. Rue tell Katniss to drop a Tracker Jacker nest on the carereers (Tracker Jackers and dangerous bees). She kills a girl named Glimmer and grabs her bow and quiver. She teams up with Rue. Katniss blows up the carereers supplies and will that happens Rue gets captured. Katniss saves her but Marvel from District 1 kill her. Marvel dies will Katniss sings to Rue as she dies. Katniss finds Peeta and he is hurt. Katniss gets a supply bag and gets Clove killed. Cato then kills Thresh as a revenge kill for killing his partner Clove. Rabid dogs of the dead tributes (yes, DEAD tributes) come out and kill Cato. Peeta and Katniss say they will commit suicide when they find out they couldn't both win. They both win and live happily ever after.
